We are incredibly proud to share that our 16+ Young Achievers took to the stage on Sunday 30th November 2025 at the P&J Live Concert, their first time ever performing at a concert venue of this scale.
For many of them, it was the first time standing in front of such a large audience. Yet when the moment came, they stepped forward with courage and composure, delivering a performance filled with confidence, joy, and the exceptional ability we always knew was in them.
Their dedication in the weeks leading up to the concert was inspiring. They practised every Friday at Youth Club and continued rehearsals at home, determined to give their best. Watching them walk onto that stage, knowing how far they had come, was a moment of immense pride for all of us.
A heartfelt thank you to the organisers of the P&J Live Concert. Seeing our young people perform in such a stunning venue was uplifting, the kind of experience that becomes a milestone in a young person’s life.
They selected the Christmas songs themselves, embracing responsibility, leadership, and teamwork. For many, it was the first time they had taken ownership of a public performance from start to finish. Opportunities like this stretch them in the best way, challenging them, but also revealing strengths they hadn’t yet discovered.
Performing at the concert helped our young people grow in incredible ways.
Beyond the music, they gained:
• Confidence in their own voice
• Courage to step into the spotlight
• Resilience to perform under pressure
• A sense of belonging to something meaningful
Singing publicly builds self-belief, and we are already seeing how this performance has boosted their outlook, their motivation, and their willingness to try new things.
And there’s something special about singing for people they didn’t know.
One young person said afterward:
“When I saw people clapping who had never met us before, it made me feel like our voices truly mattered.”
Another reflected:
“At first I was scared, but when we started singing, it felt fun. I’m proud of myself.”
And one of the shyest members of the group shared:
“I never thought I could perform on a real stage. Now I want to try more.”
These reflections show just how powerful moments like this can be.
Performing for an audience beyond family and friends brought a different kind of excitement. The cheers from strangers, the bright lights, and the shared energy gave them a rush they carried long after leaving the stage.
Many walked off beaming, talking about what it felt like to be “seen,” appreciated, and celebrated for something they created together.
To our wonderful Young Achievers 16+ group, your bravery, teamwork, and commitment made this performance unforgettable. You stepped into something new, and you shone.
We’re honoured to walk alongside you as you continue to grow, explore your talents, and discover the power of your own voices.
A huge well done - we are incredibly proud of you. 💛
